‘Black Panther’ Earns Highest Ever Live-Action Superhero Rotten Tomatoes Score

The movie has leapt past ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘Iron Man.’

Notch another victory for Disney and Marvel Studios’ Black Panther.

In addition to shattering numerous records in its box-office debut, the movie boasts the best aggregated score on Rotten Tomatoes of any live-action superhero pic at 97 percent.

The previous top score belonged to Christopher Nolans’ The Dark Knight (2008) and Jon Favreau’s Iron Man (2008), which were tied at 94 percent.

If counting all superhero films, Black Panther shares the Rotten Tomatoes crown with Pixar’s animated event film, The Incredibles (2004), which likewise has a 97 score.

Black Panther easily boasts the best Rotten Tomatoes ranking of any title in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or the DC Extended Universe. The top DC title is Wonder Woman (2017) at 92 percent, while Iron Man was the Marvel champ.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther alongside Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker and Andy Serkis.
